Desert Tree Ministries
Making disciples of Jesus,
right in the middle of relational brokenness

Who is This For?
You may be preparing for marriage and want to start it on solid ground.
You may be in a marriage that's struggling and looking for real help before it's too late.
You may be in the middle of a divorce, or years past one, still carrying a wound that never fully closed.
You may be wondering whether remarriage is even possible for you, biblically or personally.

Wherever you are on that road, this community was built for you. Not a program that assumes where you're starting from, a community that meets you there.
The Problem With What's Out There
Most churches point people toward a ten-week video program: watch a screen, discuss in a small group, go home. It helps some people. For many others, it's too slow, too passive, and over before the real questions even surface.

Desert Tree built something different: one weekend, in person, that goes as deep as ten weeks can, without asking you to wait ten weeks to get there. And then a COMMUNITY to stay and grow with moving forward.

What the Weekend Covers
Friday night:
Naming the wound. We start honestly, with the hurt itself and the anger that almost always comes with it. No fixing. Just truth.

Saturday morning:
Inner work. The loneliness and fear that come with an uncertain future. How to navigate family and friends who don't know what to say.
And the center of the whole weekend: forgiveness, not as forgetting, but as the only real way through a wound that retaliation can't heal, and the deeper question underneath it all, who you are now, not according to the divorce, but according to God.

Saturday afternoon:
Some practical work. Financial and legal basics nobody explains clearly enough. For those with kids, how to keep them out of the middle. Conflict skills that de-escalate instead of feeding the fire.

Saturday evening:
Moving forward. What life actually looks like now, and a real, honest picture of hope for what's ahead, plus a clear next step into ongoing community, not just a weekend that ends and leaves you on your own.

Led By Someone Who's Walked It

Rev. Dr. Kevin M. Wilson, pictured below, holds a Doctor of Ministry from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.
Everything taught this weekend and in the Desert Tree Community comes out of walking through his own divorce and rebuilding, not theory alone.
Kevin is an ordained Pastor with the Missionary Church USA and certified Christian Coach through the
American Association of Christian Counselors and Light University and member of the International Christian Coaching Association.
