The Desert Tree Story
Desert Tree wasn't started in a boardroom or a seminary classroom. It was started in a season of complete loss.

Rev. Dr. Kevin Wilson is an ordained minister with a Doctor of Ministry from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and 30 years of ministry experience. He has served in campus ministry, military congregations, church planting, and pastoral leadership. He coached youth football and baseball for three decades and released original music on Spotify and Apple Music.
Kevin knows what it means to lose everything. He has walked through a devastating divorce, the systematic loss of relationships with his children through parental alienation, and a legal nightmare that lasted years and nearly took everything he had left. He has sat in courtrooms feeling powerless. He has spent nights wondering if God was paying attention. He has rebuilt from nothing more than once.
It is out of that darkness that Desert Tree Ministries was born. Not from a classroom or a curriculum, but from the lived experience of a man who has been through the fire and come out the other side with his faith, his calling, and his conviction that no man has to walk through this alone.
The name "Desert Tree" comes from 1 Kings 19, where God meets Elijah in the desert under a Broom Tree and restores and redeems him and his life in the midst of deep loss. What looks like a place where nothing can grow becomes the place where everything does.
Kevin built Desert Tree because no resource existed that spoke honestly to men in his situation. Not a support group. Not a hotline. A community. A brotherhood. Men who have been through the fire learning to build something new from the rubble. If you are in the middle of that rubble right now, you are in the right place.
